Nicole Beharie Says ‘Creative Tension’ Led to Her 'Sleepy Hollow' Departure and other news

While attending yesterday’s Brave Summit: Women in Media panel at Georgetown University, Sleepy Hollow actress, Nicole Beharie, reportedly gave attendees a glimpse into what led to her character being killed off during the show’s shocking season three finale. According to journalist Phyllis A. Gilchrist, Nicole cited “creative tension” as the reason behind her no longer appearing on the show.

New Yorkers will find this clever play on common GOT phrases funny (I've spent enough time there that it even made me laugh).
She talks about how 'Luke Cage' is going to be unique within the Marvel Universe.
The animated property was about Raju, a boy from Mumbai whose mentor, develops a suit that activates the chakras of the human body and gives the user superpowers. The live action film has Raju as an adult in his twenties, battling villains in Mumbai.
- Sounds super cool, can't wait until it comes to the States.

Melisandre (Carice van Houten) is still up at the Wall and you don't have to worry about the show forgetting her. But she's not the only priestess in the world of "Game of Thrones," and Deadline has revealed that up-and-coming British actress Melanie Liburd was cast as a red priestess for Season 6. According to Watchers on the Wall, her character -- Kinvara, High Priestess of the Red Temple of Volantis -- visits with Tyrion and Varys in Meereen.

An aside: I love our Missandei, but I find it interesting HBO opted to make most of the slaves black and brown people (which was not specified in the book). When you are essentially creating a fantasy world from scratch, and can literally cast whomever into what ever roles you want, making the bulk of the slaves and ex-slaves non-European-like is quite a telling thing to do.
