Ghostbusters Twitter account endorses Hillary Clinton: '#ImWithHer'

The Ghostbusters ain’t afraid of no politics. The movie’s official Twitter account posted an endorsement for Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president.

“Boo-yah, we smashed your glass ceiling,” the account tweeted. “There was a ghost behind it. #ImWithHer #BustTheCeiling #Ghostbusters.”

The tweet was accompanied by a GIF of Dr. Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) winking, along with a second message: “2016 — The year we busted ghosts and the glass ceiling. #ImWithThem.”

Clinton clinched the Democratic nomination for president on Tuesday, making history as the first woman to be nominated by a major (American) political party. She appeared via satellite at the end of Day 2 of the Democratic National Convention to thank her supporters.

“I can’t believe we just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet,” she said. “If there are any little girls out there who stayed up late to watch, let me just say: I may become the first woman president, but one of you is next.”
